Going on holiday with your kids and don’t know what to pack?
If you’re anything like me, you’ll be tempted to take too much. So here’s a list of essentials that will keep them happy for ages and won’t take up too much space in your luggage!
Books and puzzles
We love this Chalk and Talk travel book because it encourages children to chat about what they see along the journey. They’re reusable, can be wiped clean or chucked in the wash and come with their own chalks. Great for early readers.
The smaller the better for packing! We love these Ostheimer wooden animals. You’ll easily fit them into your little one’s suitcase, and they’re perfect for imaginative play. Last time we went away, these giraffes came with us to the beach!
A favourite soft toy
We love these Noodolls, they’re so cute and funny and come with a handy strap, which means they can be used as a pram or car-seat toy for very small babies, keeping them amused on trips.
Crayons and paper
These fit into the print of your little one’s thumb perfectly. What we love about them is, unlike regular crayons, they don’t snap and crumble. And they come in a sweet little bag, so they’re easy to port around.
A travel changing mat
If your little one is still in nappies, a travel change mat is a must. Made from organic cotton, and washing-machine and dryer-friendly, they’re super soft and come in the most beautiful colours.
Along with baby-wipes, these muslin cloths are great to chuck in your nappy bag. They have so many uses – a temporary bib, an emergency sun-shade, anything. They’re machine-washable and dryer-friendly, too.
