My name is Sonali, thank you for taking a look at my little shop. I launched it in spring 2015 after falling in love with the world of children’s design.
While looking for inspiration to decorate my baby’s bedroom, I discovered so many high-quality, beautiful pieces made by independent craftspeople and designers. I wanted to bring all these gorgeous finds together into one store.
A lot of the items you’ll find here have been handmade and most have been chosen because of their minimal environmental impact, too.
I love heirloom-worthy items. I want my children to be able to pass their beloved toys onto their kids; so the toys I sell here on Little Goldie have to be fun, imaginative and timeless and the decor has to be beautiful and whimsical – and, importantly, really well-made and built to last.
I believe in every single piece that I sell – you won’t find anything in store that I wouldn’t be delighted to have in my own house.
Why did I choose the name Little Goldie? My name – Sonali – means golden in Sanskrit, and bright yellows and golds are my favourite colours, so the name just fits.
(Oh yes… this photo. That’s my little boy. I love this picture because I took it after he slept all night in his own cot for the first time – I know. It took that long. I was pretty tired 😉 .)
